Ten years went into creating this cozy, yet rustic, paradise just 4.5 miles from our shop downtown. We are located just off Nash Rd., about a mile and a half from the city limit, on Bear Paw Drive. Escape to the quiet and solitude of our own Bear Paw Lodge - new to Kayak Adventures in 2007! We live at the lodge as well, and will be around the house. You'll have full use of our spacious kitchen, dining room, and all appliances and cookware. Spend an evening relaxing by the crackling fire in our custom built shale fireplace, or pass your time soaking in the 6-person hot tub on our large front deck. Use our grill on the deck for cooking up your fresh catch of the day! There's a large, open TV room in the loft with comfy couches and free high-speed internet. Or just get away from it all and enjoy a peaceful moment on the second floor back deck...

WildRide Sled Dog Show
Experience all 1,049 miles of the Iditarod Sled Dog Race in one action-packed, laugh-out-loud, dog-powered performance in downtown Anchorage! The Seavey family guides you through the history of sled dogs - from transport to sport  telling their real stories from the trail, and demonstrating the incredible power and athleticism of their Iditarod champion sled dogs, in this hilarious family oriented show. After the show, meet the real Iditarod dogs and mushers, cuddle some adorable husky puppies, and get a picture with Flap Jack, one of the stars in Disney's "Eight Below". Starring 20 sled dogs, 4 Iditarod mushers, including 2004 Iditarod Champion Mitch Seavey, and one polar bear.

Alaska Fish & Game - Division of Sport Fish
The Division of Sport Fish was established in 1951 as part of Alaska's territorial government to oversee Alaska's developing sport fisheries. Its creation coincided with the passage of the Dingle-Johnson Act that gave states and territories dedicated federal funds to conduct scientific research related to recreational fisheries. Today, the Division is responsible for oversight and management of Alaska's sport and personal use fisheries worth more than 500 million dollars annually.

Fishing Trips with Alaska Classic Adventures
First class halibut charters based out of Ninilchik, Alaska within 45 minutes of the Soldotna/Kenai area. Our 32ft custom sportfishing vessel is among the best vessels operating on the Peninsula with one of the largest back fishing decks around. Your group can be in dynamite fishing waters in 30 minutes (considerably much less time than a typical charter out of Homer). We take out only small groups of six people or less so you won't feel overcrowded or rushed. We use nothing but the highest quality equipment and fishing tackle. Our captains are extremely friendly, experienced, and US Coast Guard certified. We will supply all fishing tackle, bait, and offer free fish filleting.
